Adobe Acrobat Reader is a discarded office app.

  • Open in Microsoft Store or invoke:

    winget install -e XPDP273C0XHQH2 --accept-package-agreements

  • Invoke the installer listed on Windows Package Manager:

    winget install -e Adobe.Acrobat.Reader.64-bit

  • Download it from the publisher’s website

  • Completely hide the Task Pane on the right-hand side

Open Menu > Edit > Preferences

Open Documents tab

  • Remember current state of Tools Pane < [#Open Settings]

Open Language tab

  • Same as operating system =: Application Language < [#Language]

Open General tab

  • Enable PDF thumbnails in Windows Explorer < [#Basic Tools]

Open Page Display tab

  • Two-Up Continuous =: Page Layout < [#Default Layout and Zoom]
